Gateway Theatre of Shopping
Gateway Theatre of Retail, sometimes known as Gateway, is a shopping mall located on Umhlanga Ridge in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, north of Durban.
The Gateway Theatre of Shopping is one of the world’s top 100 shopping malls.
The mall is now undergoing its fifth and greatest expansion in 16 years.
Every month, more than two million people pass through the gates of Gateway.
Old Mutual Properties created the mall, which was based after the Mall of America and the West Edmonton Mall.
Many new constructions in the neighborhood have sprung up as a result of the building and inauguration of Gateway Theatre of Shopping.
Originally a sugar cane plantation, the site’s growth has resulted in the creation of a new town center as well as business and residential projects in the area.
The Three Cities Group also owns and operates the Gateway Hotel, which is connected to the mall.
